
Bambu Lab AMS — Automatic Multi-Color & Multi-Material System
The Bambu Lab AMS (Automatic Material System) enables automated multi-color and multi-material printing by managing up to four filament spools per unit. It handles filament switching, buffering, and monitoring automatically, allowing cleaner color transitions and more reliable long-duration prints.
A sealed filament path, buffered feeding system, and built-in sensors help reduce tangles, manage humidity, and protect prints during material changes. The AMS is designed to integrate tightly with the Bambu Lab ecosystem for consistent, low-hassle operation.

Printer compatibility
• P1 / P2 / X1 Series
– Single AMS: requires a filament buffer
– Multiple AMS units: requires a multi-port AMS hub
• A1 / A1 Mini Series
– Requires the A1 Series filament hub
– AMS Lite cannot be mixed with standard AMS units on the same hub
• Uses standard 1.75 mm filament
• Moisture-sensitive filaments should be dried separately before loading
