The PTFE tube guides filament from the spool to the printer while reducing friction for smooth, reliable feeding. It’s a wear item and should be inspected regularly as part of routine maintenance.

Over time, filament rubbing can wear the inner surface. Worn PTFE tubes can cause feeding resistance, misfeeds, or filament buildup—especially in AMS systems—so timely replacement helps prevent print failures.
