Overview

Bambu ASA-CF combines ASA’s excellent UV and weather resistance with carbon-fiber reinforcement for higher stiffness, cleaner surfaces, and improved stability on larger parts. It’s ideal for outdoor components, enclosures, brackets, mounts, and structural parts that need to hold shape and look professional over time.

• Stiffer than ASA: ~67% higher stiffness for structural and load-bearing parts
• Reduced warping: Improved dimensional stability for large or assembled prints
• Matte surface: Low-gloss finish that hides layer lines
• Diameter: 1.75 mm ± 0.03 mm

Printer & hardware requirements

• Printers: Enclosed systems required (X1 / X1E / P1S / H2 Series)
• AMS: Compatible
• Nozzle: Hardened steel 0.4 / 0.6 / 0.8 mm
• Avoid: 0.2 mm nozzles and stainless steel tips

Recommended starting settings

• Drying: 80 °C × 8 h (oven) or 90–100 °C × 12 h (X1 heatbed)
• Nozzle: 250–280 °C
• Bed: 80–100 °C (use Magigoo or glue stick)
• Speed: ≤ 250 mm/s
• Build plates: Smooth or Textured PEI
• Humidity: < 20 % RH (store sealed with desiccant)

• Bending modulus (XY): ~3740 MPa
• Bending strength (XY): ~72 MPa
• HDT (0.45 MPa): ~110 °C
• Water absorption: ~0.33 %

Printing notes

• Always print enclosed to minimize warping
• Carbon fiber increases stiffness but reduces flexibility—avoid tight filament bends
• Allow parts to cool fully before removal
• Mild odor during printing is normal—use ventilation
