Bambu Smooth PEI Plate – A1 Mini (180 × 180 mm)

The Bambu Smooth PEI Plate for A1 Mini is designed for high-precision printing with a smooth, matte bottom surface. Its thicker PEI coating improves Z-axis consistency, making it ideal for parts that require tight tolerances, clean fits, and a refined finish.

Compatibility

• A1 Mini only

Material Compatibility

• PLA
• PETG (glue recommended)
• TPU (glue recommended)
• PVA (glue recommended)

High-temperature materials such as ABS, ASA, PC, and Nylon are not recommended for A1 Mini.

Surface Finish

• Smooth, matte bottom layer
• Ideal for cosmetic parts and tight-fit assemblies
• Excellent for flat surfaces and visible bases

Use & Care

• Allow plate to cool before removing prints
• Clean regularly with hot water and dish soap, then towel dry
• Do not use acetone or aggressive solvents
• Light sanding (≈600 grit) can help restore adhesion over time
• Magigoo glue is recommended for filaments other than PLA to prevent surface damage

Important Notes for A1 Mini

• Due to the thicker PEI coating, magnetic hold is slightly reduced compared to textured plates
• For best results, avoid very large parts with high internal stress
• Plate curling or part detachment may occur if bed temperature is too low

Installation

• Align the plate with locating points, name facing up
• Lower onto the magnetic heatbed until fully seated
