Bambu Lab Smooth PEI Plate — Matte Finish, High Precision Adhesion

The Bambu Lab Smooth PEI Plate is designed to improve first-layer accuracy and bottom-surface quality on Bambu Lab printers. Its smooth, matte PEI surface delivers excellent Z-axis precision and a clean, professional underside finish, making it well suited for both functional parts and aesthetic prints.

Mounted on a spring steel base with strong magnetic adhesion, this plate provides reliable hold during printing while still allowing easy part removal once cooled.

Note: Not recommended for A1 mini when printing high-temperature materials.

Filament compatibility notes

• PLA and similar materials: Prints directly on PEI
• PETG, ABS, ASA, PC, Nylon, and CF/GF filaments: Use Magigoo glue to protect the surface
• TPU and PVA: Magigoo Glue recommended for controlled release

Using glue with higher-adhesion materials helps prevent PEI surface damage.

Maintenance and care

• Clean regularly with warm water and mild detergent
• Avoid acetone, which will damage the PEI surface
• Allow the plate to cool before removing prints
• Light sanding with fine-grit sandpaper can help restore adhesion over time

This is a consumable part. Only factory defects are covered under warranty.

Installation

• Place the plate on the build platform with the labeled side facing forward
• Lower gently and allow it to magnetically snap into position
