Getting started

• Clean the magnetic base; place the plate smooth side up
• Run bed leveling / first-layer calibration
• Start with typical temperatures; fine-tune first-layer squish as needed

Suggested starting temps (typical)

• PLA: 45–60 °C
• PETG: 70–85 °C
• TPU: 35–50 °C (slow first layer; gentle squish)
• ABS / ASA: 90–110 °C (enclosure recommended)

Adhesion & surface protection (recommended)

• Liquid glue (Magigoo-style) is strongly recommended as cheap insurance
• Improves first-layer consistency on larger or critical prints
• Acts as a release agent for PETG, helping protect the PEI surface
• Applies cleanly, dries evenly, and washes off with water
• Suitable for smooth PEI, textured PEI, and engineering plates

Care & maintenance

• Clean with blue Dawn dish soap + hot water, then towel dry thoroughly
• Avoid sharp tools or abrasives — rely on flex release
• Let parts cool before removal to reduce PEI wear or surface damage

Notes

• Smooth PEI leaves a glossy finish on the part’s bottom
• Very small contact areas may benefit from a brim or slightly higher first-layer squish
