Overview
Convoy-Westcan PETG 5 kg bulk spools are made for customers who print larger volumes and want fewer spool changes, consistent material, and better value for everyday durable 3D printing.
PETG is a great choice when you want something tougher and more heat resistant than PLA, while still keeping the printing process fairly straightforward. It is well suited for functional parts, brackets, holders, organizers, jigs, fixtures, shop-use prints, outdoor-capable parts, and general-use items that need better durability than standard PLA.
This Canadian-made PETG filament is a strong option for print farms, schools, businesses, hobbyists, and production users who go through material quickly.
Important spool note
This is a 5 kg bulk spool and is not intended to fit inside the Bambu AMS.
For Bambu Lab printers, use an external spool holder, roller, or compatible bulk-spool feeding setup. The filament itself is compatible with Bambu Lab printers, but the 5 kg spool size must be fed externally.

Recommended starting settings
For Bambu Lab printers, we recommend starting with a standard Bambu Lab PETG filament profile.
A nozzle temperature around 245 °C is a good starting point for this filament. From there, you can adjust temperature, speed, cooling, or flow if needed depending on the part, colour, and finish.
For other 1.75 mm FDM printers, use these general starting settings:
• Nozzle: 245 °C starting point
• Nozzle range: 235–260 °C
• Bed: 75–90 °C
• Cooling: 30–50% after the first few layers
• Speed: 40–100 mm/s as a safe starting range
• Layer height: 0.12–0.28 mm for most prints
• Drying, if needed: 65 °C for 4–6 hours
Printing tips
• PETG should be printed dry for best results
• If you see stringing, popping, rough surfaces, or inconsistent extrusion, dry the filament before printing
• Use less cooling for stronger layer adhesion
• Use more cooling for cleaner cosmetic surfaces and sharper details
• PETG can stick strongly to some smooth build plates, so glue stick or Magigoo can be helpful as a release layer
• For Bambu Lab printers, start with a PETG profile and fine-tune only if needed
• Make sure your external spool holder or roller can safely support a 5 kg spool before starting long prints

What to know before buying
PETG is generally tougher and more heat resistant than PLA, but it can be more moisture-sensitive and may string if it has absorbed moisture. For best results, store unused filament sealed with desiccant and dry the spool if print quality changes.
This 5 kg spool is best suited for users who already have a way to hold and feed a large-format spool. Please confirm your printer setup can support a 5 kg roll before ordering.
