Overview
PLA Aero is a foaming PLA engineered for lightweight, aerodynamic prints like RC planes, wings, gliders, and UAV parts. At higher nozzle temperatures it expands internally, cutting part weight by up to ~50% while retaining toughness and flight-ready durability.

Recommended starting settings
• Drying: 55 °C × 8 h (before use)
• Nozzle: 220–260 °C (higher temp = more foaming)
• Bed: 35–45 °C
• Speed: ≤ 180 mm/s
• Storage: < 20% RH, sealed with desiccant

• Filament density: 1.21 g/cm³
• Printed density: ~0.55–1.05 g/cm³ (settings dependent)
• Tensile strength: 24 ± 2 MPa
• Impact strength: 28.8 ± 1.3 kJ/m²
• Vicat softening: ~54 °C
Notes
• Dry thoroughly—moisture reduces foaming consistency
• Filament is softer than standard PLA; load/unload gently
• 0.4 mm hardened nozzle recommended for stable extrusion
