Bambu PPA-CF — Industrial-Grade Carbon Fiber Nylon
Metal-Like Strength • High Heat & Humidity Resistance • Precision Engineering
Overview
Bambu PPA-CF is a high-performance carbon-fiber-reinforced nylon engineered for demanding industrial and mechanical applications. It delivers exceptional stiffness, strength, and dimensional stability—while maintaining performance in high-heat and high-humidity environments where standard nylons struggle.
Product features
• Metal-like strength: Up to 48% stronger and 102% stiffer than PA6-CF
• Heat resistant: Continuous service up to 227 °C
• Humidity stable: Low moisture absorption (~1.3%) for consistent mechanical properties
• Precision parts: Minimal warp and creep for tight-tolerance components
• Diameter: 1.75 mm ± 0.05 mm (cardboard spool)
Printer & hardware requirements
• Printers: Enclosed systems only (P1S / X1 / X1E / H2 Series)
• AMS: ❌ Not compatible
• Nozzle: Hardened steel 0.6 mm recommended (0.4 / 0.8 mm optional)
• Avoid: 0.2 mm nozzles and stainless steel tips
Recommended starting settings
• Drying: 100–140 °C × 8–12 h (oven preferred)
• Nozzle: 280–310 °C
• Bed: 100–120 °C (use Magigoo or glue stick)
• Speed: ≤ 100 mm/s
• Build plates: Smooth or Textured PEI
• Humidity: < 20 % RH (print and store sealed with desiccant)
Mechanical & thermal highlights
• Tensile strength: ~168 MPa
• Flexural strength: ~208 MPa
• Flexural modulus: ~9860 MPa
• Impact strength: ~41.7 kJ/m²
• HDT (0.45 MPa): ~227 °C
• Vicat softening: ~232 °C
• Density: ~1.25 g/cm³
Printing notes
• Dry thoroughly—moisture will ruin surface quality and strength
• Use Magigoo or glue stick for adhesion and plate protection
• Higher nozzle temps within range improve layer bonding
• Allow parts to cool fully before removal
