Bambu Vision Encoder — X2D (FAP037)
Precision Motion Calibration • Under 50 μm Accuracy • Genuine Bambu Lab Accessory
Overview
The Bambu Vision Encoder (FAP037) is an advanced calibration accessory designed exclusively for the Bambu Lab X2D. Using over 10,000 precision optical reference markers and high-resolution vision-based measurements, it calibrates the printer's XY motion system to compensate for mechanical tolerances, belt wear, and long-term changes in machine geometry. The result is motion accuracy of less than 50 μm, delivering exceptional dimensional precision and improved part fit.
Unlike a build plate, the Vision Encoder is used only during the calibration process. A typical calibration takes approximately 5 minutes, with results remaining effective for weeks under normal operating conditions.
